I am going to use the same exact cup as well as distilled room temperature water for every brand i test.

Water that is too cold or too warm will cause the polish to dry too fast.
Choose the polishes you want to work with.
I found that if you use filtered water from a bottle or a filter such as brita it works better.
If the water is too cold the nail polish will seize up.
You might need to try a couple times with water slightly warm or cool.
The water has to be room temperature too.
Fill your cup with some warm or room temperature water.
But in your case the water temp isn t the problem.
The polish sinks to the bottom when you drop it from to high.
Drop it from right above the water.
Fill the cup with room temperature water.
The water should be room temperature.
This should keep the nail polish together without making it set too quickly.
Bottled water vs tap water vs filtered water.
A bit of nail polish thinner not acetone can be added to the polish and you might get one or two good rings out of it but don t expect miracles.

I didn t try different water temperatures but from my experience room temperature 76 degrees fahrenheit water always works best.
